Upcoming Campus Events
To celebrate Welcome Week, we are delighted to welcome international scholar and performer Chris Vinsonhaler for a special performance and lecture on the Old English epic Beowulf. This event is sponsored by our fellow student organizations - the Medieval and Renaissance Studies Students Association and the University of Ottawa Medieval and Renaissance Students Association.
On Thursday, September 3 at 6:00 p.m., Chris will present a modern performance of Beowulf at Academic Hall (SMN). The performance is free and open to all, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
Chris will also give a complimentary lecture on her translation of Beowulf on Friday, September 4 at 1:00 p.m. in Hamelin (MHN), Room 509.
All students, faculty, staff, and members of the wider community are warmly invited to attend these two special events.
